Hi Everyone,
I hope you’re doing well this final weekend in April. That means there are some important holidays coming up and WayDay is upon us right now.
What is WayDay?
WayDay is the retailing giant Wayfair’s semi-annual mega-sale, with up to 80% off many items. It really should be WayDays as it is actually three days, ending this Monday, the 28th.
Some of you might remember a post I did back in 2022 about Wayfair, one of the largest retailers in the world, whose corporate headquarters is a literal stone’s throw from me.
Oh, that post is really good and therefore, required reading. Haha, no really. It’s very entertaining, and there are also a lot of cheap, less expensive, terrific sofas and chairs in that post. Some of them are also included in my WayDay widget.
One other thing about the WayDay sale.
Many of you know that Wayfair owns other companies such as Joss and Main and Perigold. To add to the confusion, they have separate websites. And while they are not under the “WayDay” umbrella, I saw some very deep discounts on both of those sites.
I could sit here and comb through the sites for weeks, compiling my obsessively curated collection. The reality is that Wayfair represents hundreds, if not thousands, of vendors. Most of them aren’t household names, but some are.
Laurel, why are you so into Wayfair? Or, are you just hawking this stuff to make some affiliate money?
Thank you for asking. I would’ve put it more delicately. ;] While I make money from my affiliate links, I’m also helping some of you who don’t have the time or are interested in what I’ve found.
However, I’m also an avid Wayfair customer. I genuinely love the company. Since June 2023, I’ve placed 32 orders at Wayfair! Many items for my renovation came from Wayfair.
I find shopping at Wayfair to be very easy, and the customer service is superb. If something requires assembly, they can arrange for that service if one wants. (I definitely need that. Although I had B & E for my reno.) Plus, they have fantastic sales and often the lowest prices. Not always, but usually.
But Laurel. I’m not interested in WayDay because I don’t need anything right now.
That’s okay, because:
1. One day, you might, or you might not. Still, it’s fun to look.
2. I’ve also updated the Mother’s Day Gift Guide. MD is in two weeks, so you’re still in good time to order online if you hate shopping in stores as much as I do.
What? You hate shopping? That’s unbelievable!
Yeah, I know I’ve said this before, but I can’t stand shopping– in stores, that is. It’s exhausting, and I’d rather let my fingers do the walking, like in the olden days when we had yellow pages. Remember?
In addition to the Mother’s Day Gift Guide, I updated the Foodie and Gardening gifts widgets that are on the holiday page, which is not currently in the menu. I included them in the general gift page because most are year-round-type gifts.
If you notice in the main website menu, the holiday shop is now the gifts and outdoor furnishings page.
I added the Foodie and Gardening gifts after the Mother’s Day widget. New items have been added to all of them.
Also, there are the Hot Sales widgets.
There are so many terrific sales going on right now.
And if you don’t want to look at any of the stuff I’m hawking sharing, that’s okay too. If you’re craving something else, there are well over 1,000 blog posts. ;]
After the December holidays, May and June are the second busiest times of the year for gifts for many occasions, including graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays, too. So, if you’re planning on purchasing something and doing it online, these guides are for you.
Or, if you do like going to crowded stores, then at least you might get some good ideas.
Below is a WayDay graphic for your pinning pleasure.

Okay, the WayDay widget is at the top of the main Hot Sales page, but I am putting it down here, as well. I tried to put in a variety of things I like. Some of them I would like to have, and some I already own!

xo,
***Please check out the recently updated HOT SALES!
There is now an Amazon link on my home page and below. Thank you for the suggestion!
Please note that I have decided not to create a membership site. However, this website is very expensive to run. To provide this content, I rely on you, the kind readers of my blog, to use my affiliate links whenever possible for items you need and want. There is no extra charge to you. The vendor you’re purchasing from pays me a small commission.
To facilitate this, some readers have asked me to put
A link to Amazon.com is on my home page.
Please click the link before items go into your shopping cart. Some people save their purchases in their “save for later folder.” Then, if you remember, please come back and click my Amazon link, and then you’re free to place your orders. While most vendor links have a cookie that lasts a while, Amazon’s cookies only last up to 24 hours.
Thank you so much!
I very much appreciate your help and support!

Good morning Laurel,
Thanks for alerting us to all the sales. I have to admit I’m scared about how high prices will get.
