Welcome to my trip last week to the New York Gift Show also known as New York Now, now. Now, I guess they are calling it the New York Now Show because they wanted it to sound edgier, or something? Edgier than the aforementioned quaint gift shop with the same tired old “gifts.” So be it. This year, in addition to changing the name of the whole show, they moved the entire Home portion to the Javits Center. Fair enough.
This sounded great— at first, since before, most of the home part was at Pier 94, but unfortunately, that was preferable to the immense amount of disorganization, this year, which made it difficult to find things. So be it. Herewith is part II and guess, what? There will be a part III, just because.

Okay… I have no idea what happened, but I had downloaded more images and written some very clever stuff and all of a sudden… it closed and didn’t save the draft…. grrrr… wordpress… grrr… So, I am going to leave you tonight with just this one image from Chehoma, a French company specializing in some very lovely home accents. I love this grouping of glass pieces!
There will be more soon! I promise! There are some more lovely lighting ideas, exquisite Oushak rugs and one of my very fave vendors who makes THE most wonderful Gustavian Swedish reproduction furnishings.
Oh, alright! Here are the chandeliers, also from Chehoma.

I think we may doing these chandeliers in the new Bronxville kitchen. We’ll do two of the smaller ones over the island and the larger one over the kitchen table. Usually, I like to do two different styles, but since we are also having sconces and table lamps, it will look great to have all of the shimmering crystal above. My client wanted sparkle and I agreed! The warmth of the gold tones will also be refreshing against all of the white, grey and silvery elements.
Best Wishes,
