My Back Bay Boston Living Room (Before the renovation, 2021)
It’s difficult for me to believe that this is my living room with all of the furniture I already owned; some of it for more than two decades. What’s really funny is, see that yellow teapot with the two cups? Well, I bought that in Boston, in a store on Newbury Street in the summer of 2013 during a visit with my son. I was staying in Back Bay then, but never dreamed I would be living here. There used to be more to the set, but it all came crashing to the floor about five years ago.

From now on, the sources will be primarily Etsy, 1stdibs, and eBay, as well. For Etsy and eBay, the items might not be “on sale.” The reason is that the prices are usually already on the low side, and you can negotiate if you think it’s more than the item is worth. You can also negotiate on 1stdibs. BTW, there are some great deals on 1stdibs, but I know it has a rep for being quite expensive.
My goal with the widget is to provide you with classic pieces at a good price. Many are not easy to find. I have bought from this widget at least a half dozen times. So when I say these are items I’d have in my own home, it’s no joke!
